Other Policy Directions:, there is a bus route from the pier. bicycles are also available to rent. these services will transport luggage for you as well. transport is also possible from the airstrip, on foot or on bicycles, follow the road out of kilronan heading west towards dún aonghasa. keep straight along the road until there is a turn left marked gort na gcapall, at the top of a hill leading down to the beach, from which the dún can be seen. take the turn left and continue to the lodge, which will be the third building down this road, an alternate route from kilronan follows the coastline and takes you past the seal colony lookout point. continue west out of kilronan, but just before tí joe watty's pub, there will be a turn right onto a lower road. continue straight on this road until you arrive at cill muirbhigh beach. go up the hill in the direction back towards kilronan, and at the top of that hill will be the turn right into gort na gcapall, these routes are around 3.7 mi or 4.3 mi, respectively.this property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties, please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. you can use the special requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation, guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

Positive: My wife, and daughters (21 &16), and I, loved absolutely everything about Aran Walkers Lodge. It is perfectly located, and the owner and manager, Sean and Brenda, are simply the most genuine and wonderful hosts. We will be back many times.
Negative: We LOVED everything, and would advise all to stay there.
Summary: Sean and Brenda, and their wonderful staff, were all simply magic, and they went above and beyond to make our stay magic

Positive: The personal was really kind to us, the room was very comfortable and the breakfast buffet was marvellous! Also, the location was perfect for tourism, since the main touristic places were nearby. Also we were offered the possibility to rent bikes at a cheaper price than in the pier.

Positive: The location was fantastic. It was great to be so close to kilmurvey Beach and village. The lodge is located in the middle of the island which is great. Brenda and Sean were very helpful.

Positive: We spent a week on Inis Mor and left with regret. The location was perfect for us. In the middle of the island, a 5-minute walk from the beach and a few minutes' bike ride from the small village of Kilmurvey. About a twenty-minute bike ride from the main village: Kilronan. Brenda, the young manager of Walkers Lodge, took great care of us: always cheerful, helpful, warm, going out of her way to solve everyday problems: glasses repairs :), providing ice packs for tired knees after a day of cycling, emergency car pick-up after a puncture... in short, a gem! Breakfast is simple but there's everything you need. We felt right at home. Mountain bikes are available for hire on site. Sean, the owner, knows Arran like the back of his hand. He was a very kind host and his advice was very useful for our visits. We will keep a fond memory of our stay :)

Positive: Beautiful location away from the village, close to attractions like worm hole and Dun Aonghasa that can be easily explored on foot and by bicycle. There is a cosy lounge and Seán and Brenda are doing a great job.

Positive: The location of the lodge was very well situated to hike to many sights on the island. The staff members were friendly and tried to be helpful and accomodating.
Negative: The lodge is a long way from where the ferry lands on Inishmore, and if you don't have a car, which is usually the case on this remote island, you can easily get stuck for a ride into town.
Summary: Rustic hikers lodge close to the "Wormhole" and neolithic sites on Inishmore.

Positive: This was an Elopement Getaway and our first trip to both The Aran Islands and to Ireland, so we wanted to make the most of our time by staying in "The Best" 5 star resorts, castles, Airbnbs and Aran Walkers Lodge! Without hesitation, I can say Aran Walkers Lodge was our favorite stay and "picture perfect" from the moment we checked in until we checked out! Much like the magnificent landscapes, warm welcoming people, delicious food, the historical pubs castles and monuments on Inis Mor, our stay at Aran Walker's Lodge was exactly what comes to mind when I think of Ireland! The view from the lodge is stunning and the location of the property is a beautiful bike ride away from everything we wanted to see (Wormhole, Dún Aonghasa, The Seal Colony, the Sweater Market and much more)....They even provide the bikes for a small fee (much easier and economical than renting from the pier). Our room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and quaintly decorated, the complimentary breakfast was delicious, and the owner Sean was welcoming and helpful- he advised us on walks, transport and places to eat. THE perfect host! And, Julia...what an absolute gem this beautiful and brilliant girl is! The care, kindness and extra effort she put into any request we had made it feel like we were staying with family...To think she is a volunteer is unbelievable to me. We cannot Thank you enough for turning our dream Ireland Elopement into reality!
